School Trip

We all had a fun day out. The kids were a credit to the school and behaved excellently. Jon Klasson was fabulous and really captured the pupil’s imaginations with his stories and drawings. Sleeping Beauty’s bed was also a firm favourite. Here are some of the highlights!

Jon Klassen Event: Have you seen my hat?

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Your child has been invited to attend a talk with the award winning author Jon Klassen during school hours on Tuesday 21st May at The Mitchell Library in Glasgow. Scottish Book Trust have organised this event. Scottish Book Trust is the leading agency for the promotion of literature, reading and writing in Scotland, for more information please visit www.scottishbooktrust.com.

Who is Jon Klassen?

Jon Klassen is an award winning picture book author. Creator of the mischievous, best-selling picture books I Want My Hat Back and This is Not My Hat but will he have his hat, or has someone taken it?

He will be talking to about 400 children about his books and being a writer.

Book sale and signing

Following the event Jon Klassen will sign copies of his books. If your child already own copies of any of the Jon’s books please get them to bring them along to be signed.

Your child can also buy copies of Jon’s books on the day at the following prices:

Children are under no obligation to buy books but if you would like them to we are able to accept cash and cheques (please make them out to Scottish Book Trust).
